CapAsia is a unique interdisciplinary field-semester with national and international reputation. It provides an extraordinary opportunity to experience the socially, culturally, and historically different South Asia, and to develop a critical understanding of the participants' own cultures and environments. The participants immerse in South Asian cultures through collaborative projects with leading universities in the region. We learn by doing: In addition to South Asian cultures and why they build the way they do, we will also learn about our own environments, cultures, selves, and a bit of the future of the world that is in the making. This time we intend to do our projects in India, Myanmar, and Bhutan.

The next South Asia field study semester, CapAsia VIII, is in Spring 2015. Application processing has begun and we are looking for a few more students.

Don’t pass this great opportunity!

WE invite you to an informational meeting:
Times:
Thursday Aug 28 at noon-1pm
Wednesday Sep 3 4-5pm

in AB 004 (ask for the 'Multipurpose room' of the College of Architecture and Planning)
