The School of Extended Education has been renamed and has moved to a new location.

Now known as the Division of Online and Distance Education, the unit is housed within the Letterman Building (LB 131) and Ball Communication Building (BC 220).

The name change is reflective of the singular focus of the division to provide high-quality learning experiences to Ball State students studying online or at a distance from the main campus.

Online and Distance Education includes student support services for online and distance education and the high school dual credit program. Staff serving those needs are located in LB 131.

The division also includes the Integrated Learning Institute (iLearn), iLearn Research, and administrative and marketing services for Online and Distance Education—all located in BC 220. iLearn serves the instructional design and technology learning needs of faculty members developing and teaching online or blended courses

The division is led by Jennifer P. Bott, assistant provost for learning initiatives and associate professor of management. Her office is located in LB 131.
