Job Title : Graduate Assistantship in 3D Environment Software Design

Job Description : Primary Function: Assist in the software design of virtual environments, interactive design and 3D simulation projects for the Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts and Hybrid Design Technologies through the office of Information Technology at Ball State University. Responsibilities: 1. Assist in software design for simulation, virtual reality and human computer interaction projects. 2. Work with IDIA staff developers on assigned projects. 3. Coordinate related project media, materials, resources and track design with specific projects as assigned. 4. Lead aspects of design projects as assigned. 5. Assist IDIA Virtual Worlds Interacive Web Specialist and other staff as assigned. 6. Perform other related duties as determined by the Director of IDIA

Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in some or all of the following environments: C++, C#, Javascript and MySQL databases. Appropriate portfolio demonstrating previous work in software design Self motivated and demonstrated experience in delivering finished and high quality projects on time Willingness to learn new software and techniques Preferred Qualifications: Experience with an extended range of programming and development environments including: Python, PHP, HTML and CSS
