The Academy for Community Leadership (ACL) is a partnership between Ball State University and the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

ACL is a vehicle to promote our community leaders while providing valuable networking opportunities for participants. Over ten weekly sessions, participants are exposed to our local history, business community, government, health care, cultural awareness, education, leadership styles and more.

For close to 40 years community leaders have participated in this fabulous program. As a participant you will meet key leaders of our community, participate in a community project, meet great new people, and the meetings are held at various locations throughout the county so you will have an opportunity to tour the business after our meeting.

ACL classes are ideal for individuals who want to become more engaged in our community. Most of our community’s current leaders in business, philanthropy, education and government have participated in the Academy.

Details regarding the next class:

  • Thursdays, September 11 – November 13, 7:30-10 a.m.
  • Meetings are held at strategic locations throughout the county.
  • Cost is $300 for Chamber Members (includes Ball State students and employees), and $350 for Non-Chamber Members
