Would you like to strengthen your relationships with BSU management? (L&D Session, Feb 19)

Would you like to learn how to strengthen your relationships with BSU management? If so, please register and attend "Strengthening Your Relationships with Management" L&D session on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 1-4 pm, in SC 303. This session will explore the unique relationship between manager and employee and the critical importance of fostering a consistent, open and mutually supportive relationship. You will explore both the manager’s and the employee’s responsibilities for fostering a positive relationship and provide participants key strategies and skills for taking ownership of this relationship to support organizational goals, manager and team expectations, and the fulfillment of individual performance, development and career goals and aspirations.


Your Presenter: Daniel B. Griffith, J.D., SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources), is Director of the Office for Intergroup Dialogue and Civil Community at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He previously served as Manager of Training and Organization Development at IUPUI. He is also associate faculty within the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in leadership, conflict management and HR management. He is co-author of The Conflict Survival Kit: Tools for Resolving Conflict at Work (2nd ed.) and Supervisor’s Survival Kit (11th ed.), both published by Pearson Education, Inc. Dan is a registered civil mediator and a trainer for the Public Policy Mediation course at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is an attorney and received his J.D. degree from IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
