Blackboard Getting Started: Grade Center Essentials - REGISTER   Monday, April 7 9:00AM - 10:00AM

This 60 minute workshop will introduce you to the basic features of recording grades in Blackboard. You will learn how to create grade columns, enter grades, organize your columns, setup the grade scale and give students access to see their current scores. Introduction: inQsit to Blackboard Tests - REGISTER         Tuesday, April 8 9:30AM - 10:30 AM
Bracken Library (BL) Lower Level Room 008
This is an introduction for faculty who want to reuse existing inQsit test questions and learn how to export from inQsit and import the questions into Blackboard to recreate the test. The workshop will include setting up your Blackboard test, making the test available for your students, and setting up the lockdown browser so your students can take the test in one of the testing labs on campus. Beyond the Basics: Blackboard Test Pools - REGISTER                 Tuesday, April 8 2:00PM - 3:00PM

This 60 minute workshop assumes you are already familiar with the Blackboard Test tool and would like to learn about question pools. Pools are groups of questions which can be used and reused on multiple tests. This is a great option for cumulative exams, or pulling in a certain amount of random questions based on chapter, topic or any other categorization. Blackboard Getting Started: Test & Lockdown Browser Essentials - REGISTER
Wednesday, April 9 4:00PM - 5:00 PM in iLearn Training Stadium Ball Communications(BC)220
This workshop is an introductory course to creating and deploying your test or quizzes in Blackboard. You will learn how to create a test utilizing the 17 different question types and make it available for students using basic deployment options including: date restrictions, number of attempts, time limit, etc. Learn more about Respondus LockDown Browser and on-campus testing labs. Using Twitter for Teaching - REGISTER or Walk-in Tuesday, April 8 2:00PM-3:00PM

Promote student communication, engagement, and discovery both in the classroom and beyond! Stop into this session to hear about how you can use Twitter in your course. The Achievements Tool for Certificate and Badges

This session will present an overview of using the new Achievement Tool in Blackboard to incorporate Digital Badges as a method fo support competency-based learning and promote student engagement. methods on how students can display Badges they have earned in Mozilla Open Backpack as well as use Badges to track their progress in a Blackboard course will be reviewed. Presenter: Mr. Dan Jones

Retention Center and Performance DashboardREGISTER or Walk-in

The Retention Center and Performance Dashboard are two tools within your course that allow you to track student performance throughout the semester. We will look at the different information that is available to you and custom rules you can create to notify you of which students are at risk as well as which students are excelling.
