Culture and History: Fahrenheit 451 Book Discussion (Muncie Big Read Event)

Read the book (Fahrenheit 451), see the movie, and join us in an exhilarating and thought-provoking discussion, within the context of culture and history. You will have a chance to win a free book.

Fahrenheit 451 was published in 1953. This was the year that the Korean War ended. World War II had ended less than a decade before. In 1954 Voice of America began broadcasting jazz music around the world. The book discussion will address the storyline’s link to trends in politics, music, literature, and technology.
