End of year presentations: An Invitation from the College of Architecture and Planning

The College of Architecture and Planning is proud to share with you an invitation to attend final student project presentations during jury week. Final presentations for CAP students occur prior to university finals week and will showcase project work from the semester. The schedule is below. Everyone is invited to attend.

April 25
1:00 – 4:45 pm – Architecture Building, Room 112:Lounge – – CAP 101 -The aim of the studio was to initiate the first experience of a real site, as well as the first experience of programmatic ideas. The site is a stretch of the White River near downtown Muncie that has been sliced into 50’ wide lots that extend from White River Boulevard to the width of the river. Faculty leader: Hema Pandya.

1:30 – 3:30 pm – Architecture Building, Room 021 – CAP 101 -The aim of the studio was to initiate the first experience of a real site, as well as the first experience of programmatic ideas. 1:00-5:00 pm - Fifty-five 3rd year students will compete in the first-stage of the national 2016 Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture ’Tall Building’ Steel Design Competition.

April 28

GrOwING GREEN Presentation – Time to be determined – Located at the Design/Build Lab on the corner of McKinley and Petty. GrOwING GREEN is a mobile greenhouse designed and constructed by fourth year architecture students at Ball State University in support of these energies, and represents the fifth in a series of design build projects undertaken by students at the College of Architecture and Planning in support of Urban Farming operations in Indianapolis.

The Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) invites faculty to submit applications for the 2016-2017 Diversity Associates Program.

Materials to submit for consideration are:

The Diversity Associate Cover Sheet with chairperson signature

• A two page summary of the project*

• A one page summary of project goals/expected outcomes

• A copy of your Curriculum Vitae

The Diversity Associate application deadline is September 2, 2016.

DesignWorks Summer Academy to be held July 10 - 22

DesignWorks Summer Academy, for high school sophomores and juniors, has been called “immersive, intensive, team-driven, college level experience,” and we’d agree.

Students will experience life as a college student while staying in the residence halls and attending college courses taught be expert faculty from the College of Architecture and Planning.
