A new, original work by Tom Horan, "A Christmas Truce," comes to the radio airwaves when Indiana Public Radio presents an authentic, live radio drama Friday, Dec. 15 at Sursa Performance Hall.

Attendees should be seated by 7:30 p.m. for the 8 p.m. live broadcast, and will be treated to a pre-show program and Foley demonstration.

General admission tickets are $10, $5 for students/youth and are available at the Emens Box Office, 285-1539.

IPR's annual holiday radio dramas recreate the magic of old-time live radio programs with community actors and musicians, and authentic Foley sound effects.

"A Christmas Truce" is directed by Jennifer Blackmer. Musical director is Michael Elliott. Foley sound effects will be performed by Vanessa Theme Ament. Videographer is Chris Flook.

The radio drama will be simulcast on IPR’s five stations; online at indianapublicradio.org and on the IPR mobile app. An encore will air Christmas Day at 3 p.m. on IPR.

It will air on WIPB-TV on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 9 p.m. and Christmas Day at 10:30 p.m.

"A Christmas Truce" is presented by LifeStream Services and Ball State Federal Credit Union. Major support is provided by Yorktown Public Library. Additional support comes from Ball State Dept. of Theatre and Dance, eKeeper Systems, Mark's Service Center and Nicholson Family Dental.
