Want to see what we have to offer before signing up? Come stop by our open house. Meet Outdoor Pursuits Trip Leaders and learn more details about the upcoming spring trips. We will be showing pictures of previous trips and staff will be around to answer any questions you may have about our upcoming activities. Door prizes will be drawn and enter for a chance to win a free trip. Come see all the exciting things that Outdoor Pursuits has to offer!!! Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

Southern Kentucky Caving
Join Ball State Spelunkers Dr. Lee Florea, Amber Yuellig, and Outdoor Pursuits as we explore the depths of caves. We will spend three nights in a remote field house and two days exploring nearby caves. This beginner level trip will introduce participants to the excitement of caving. Be prepared to get dirty and have fun. Fees include the cost of transportation, lodging, gear, and food.

Horsepens 40
Ball State student and nationally ranked climber, Lane Sipahamalani will lead participants through the maze of boulders known as Horse Pens 40 and Palisades Park. Horse Pens 40 is a historic outdoor nature park, a natural wonderland of unique rock formations nestled atop Chandler Mountain in the foothills of the Appalachians. Enjoy camping and two full days of bouldering at the bouldering mecca. Registration fee will include bouldering, gear, camping, transportation, and instruction. Participants will be responsible for food.

Perfect North Slopes Skiing
Outdoor Pursuits is headed to Perfect North for some outdoor winter fun! You will be able to snowboard or ski around the snow covered slopes of Lawrenceburg, IN. This resort has lots to offer including plenty of beginner friendly slopes, slopes for more experienced participants, and snow tubing. So no matter your skill level, you can have some winter fun! We will be at the resort for the majority of the day so that you can experience everything the resort has to offer. The price includes transportation only, participants will be responsible for their own lift passes and equipment rentals upon arrival. Register now and come with us to have some outdoor winter fun!

Midwest Outdoor Leadership Conference
The annual Midwest Outdoor Leadership Conference (MWOLC) gathers outdoor recreation students and young professionals from college and university programs to learn and develop leadership abilities in the outdoor industry. Join us as we travel to Loyola University to meet and network with other students and professionals and learn about current trends and technologies in the outdoor industry. Cost covers transportation only, registration is required. Participant is responsible for registration through MWOLC (registration cost is $55). Housing will be provided for no additional cost. Adventure Summit
Thousands of the Midwest’s most skilled outdoor enthusiasts will converge on Dayton, Ohio: The Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest for a day of outdoor skill, culture and experience. Learn from renowned outdoorsman Jon Turk (sea kayaker, exotic adventurist) and have the opportunity to speak with many other outdoor enthusiasts and experts! Mad River Mountain
Mad River Mountain has an array of recreation choices for each mountain enthusiast. This mountain is for all experience levels, especially beginners, and has a variety of terrain suitable to each individual. Never skied or snowboarded before or need a refresher? No problem, the resort offers several lesson options for all ability levels (additional $15). Want to take it easy? The Avalanche Tubing Park is the easiest, fastest growing way for you to enjoy the Mountain this winter. Registration fee includes transportation only. Spring Break Sand & Surf
Join us for a trip to warmth and sunshine. On this trip to Carrabelle Beach, Florida, we will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including a boat tour, snorkeling at Wakulla Springs, stand up paddle boarding, and a day at the St George Island. We will be staying right across the street from the beach and only a short drive from many attractions. The beach is calling; come join us! Cost includes trasportation, lodging, meals on site, equipment, instruction, and group activities.

Spring Break Southern Crag Climbing
Join Outdoor Pursuit's staff and spend your spring break touring southeastern climbing crags. Participants will enjoy a four night stay in a cabin nestled in the Smokey Mountains as well as camp along the Southeast's best rock. Participants will have the opportunity to climb at Looking Glass Rock (NC) and boulder at Rumbling Bald (NC), Rock Town (GA), and Stone Fort (TN). You'll be sure to bump up your skill level on this adventure. Cost includes transportation, lodging, meals on site, equipment, instruction, and climbing permits.

Horseback Riding & Zipline Adventure
Join Outdoor Pursuits for a taste of the Old West right here in Indiana. We will enjoy the day horseback riding through 54 acres of wooded land and zipline through the trees of Brown County's picturesque hills and valleys. This will be an Indiana ranch and horseback riding adventure that you will never forget. Registration fee includes lunch on site, transportation, zipline, and horseback riding.

Muscatatuck Bouldering
Join us for a bouldering trip to Muscatatuck in North Vernon, Indiana. Enjoy all of the adventure and excitement of outdoor climbing without the extra traveling! These boulder fields have options for beginner climbers as well as challenging problems for the experienced climber. This trip would serve as a great introduction to outdoor climbing. This climbing park features over a half mile of climbable cliff with problems distinguishable every 5 to 10 feet. Come join us for the best bouldering in Indiana! Cost includes transportation, gear, and instruction.

Ride to Upland
Experience the Cardinal Greenway with OP’s knowledgeable bike staff. The ride will begin at BSU campus and will end in Upland, Indiana. The day will include a total of a 42 mile ride on the beautiful Cardinal Greenway. This trip will be fully supported by a SAG vehicle with several stops along the way for rest stops and lunch at Ivanhoes in Upland (participant is responsible for food cost). Helmets, road bikes, and mountain bikes are included in the registration fee. Supplies are limited and reservations are required.

West Virginia Outdoor Adventure Excursion
Join Outdoor Pursuits on this West Virginia Outdoor Adventure Excursion! Participants will spend a full day rafting the Lower New River through the 1,000-foot deep gorge lined with jaw dropping views of the West Virginia Mountains.
