Project Title: Physical Activity and Cognitive Function Outcomes in Older Adults.
Seeking: Male and Female participants age 65 years of age and older. Must be free of diagnosed cognitive disorders (ADHD, Brain Injury, Dementia etc.)and not currently taking psychotropic medications(anti – psychotics, anti – depressants, anti – obsessive agents or anti – anxiety agents)
Purpose: To examine the association between free-living physical activity and cognitive well-being in older adults.
Measurements will consist of:
All volunteers will receive a copy of their cognitive function task scores, heart rate and blood pressure results, information regarding body composition and physical activity assessment findings.
Testing will require 2 visits to the Human Performance Laboratory. Session 1 will last approximately 1 hour. Session 2 will last approximately 15 minutes.
