Thursday, January 30
Career Workshop for Students with Disabilities 1
Building Your Experience: Thinking outside the Box
4 – 5:30 p.m. | Noyer Complex Howick/Klipple Lounge
Do you need to add more experience to your résumé? Are you interested in participation with leadership activities on campus? We can help. At this workshop you will learn about part-time jobs, internships, volunteer experience, and other experiential learning opportunities to add to your résumé.

How to Work the Career Fair
4 – 5:30 p.m. | Bracken Library 104
First impressions count. Learn how to approach employers and make a lasting first impression. Ball State’s Career Center hosts multiple job fairs throughout the academic year with hundreds of employers looking for candidates like you. This workshop helps you utilize Cardinal Job Fair as an opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities in an active job-searching forum. You will also learn about your legal rights under ADA and how to disclose to employers.

Wednesday, February 5, & Thursday, February 6
Résumania
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Art & Journalism Building Atrium
Do you need résumé advice? At Résumania, Career Center staff will be ready to critique your résumé on the spot. If you don’t have one, information will be available to pick up regarding how to craft a résumé.

How to Prepare for a Job Fair
5 – 6 p.m. | Bracken Library 104
Job fairs do not have to be daunting. With a little preparation and focus, job fairs can be the gateway to your new career. We will show you how to research employers and develop strategies for maximizing your time at Cardinal Job Fair as well as discuss ways to engage and communicate with employers during the fair.

Discover how to find jobs using online services and resources. Learn how to get started, how and where to research, how to obtain and ace your interview, and more. Students must register ahead of time by visiting bsu.libcal.com.

Career Workshop for Students with Disabilities 3
Building Your Résumé
3 – 5 p.m. | Noyer Complex Computer Lab
Does your résumé need updating? Let us help. This workshop will review how your résumé is used in the job-search process and ensure it targets your career goals. Learn how to compose a résumé that reflects your greatest strengths and talents, while exploring different résumé formats. By the end of this workshop your résumé will say, "Interview me!"
*Optional: your current résumé in Microsoft Word format on a flash drive

Finding a job can be a hassle; let the companies come to you. Find employers who you want to work for, and who are going the extra mile to come to you, by scheduling an on-campus interview with participating companies. Visit the Cardinal Career Link for more information.

Career Coaching
Meeting with a Career Coach is an excellent way to review your résumé, prepare for a job-search, go through a practice interview, and much more. Drop-in Career Coaching hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Lucina Hall 220.
