Ball State’s Integrated Learning Institute (iLearn) is inviting full-time faculty members who have never developed an online course for Ball State to earn a $2,000 stipend for participating in a professional development opportunity focused on best practices in online education.

You can earn the stipend, if you:

  • Have approval of your department chair and dean
  • Work with iLearn’s instructional design and technology consultants
  • Meet or surpass the national best-practice standards of the Quality Matters rubric for your course

Learn how to submit a request. Requests are being accepted for 2017-18.

This incentive is part of a new iLearn focus on professional development for teaching. This change will enable the university to serve more faculty members with their teaching and learning needs.

Additional professional development opportunities will be announced this fall.

As part of this new focus on professional development, the university is phasing out its stipends for individual online courses.
