Political Science Department Scholarship Opportunities

Criteria for scholarships offered by the Political Science Department are listed below. Applications are available in the Political Science Department, North Quad 258 and are due no later than Friday, March 27, 2015. For additional information contact the Political Science Department at 285-8780.

A. MICHAEL CORBETT SCHOLARSHIP
This Scholarship Fund was established by the Department of Political Science in memory of Michael Corbett, a faculty member in the department for over 30 years.

Criteria
• Must be an undergraduate student majoring in political science;
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must have taken POLS 210 or be currently enrolled in POLS 210


WENDELL “ROY” GRUENEWALD INTERN

Criteria:
• The scholarship is awarded as a one tuition grant during the semester the student is an intern.
• The recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Ball State University. In addition, the student must be enrolled in Political Science at Ball State University as an Intern.
• Awarded regardless of sex, race, or national origin.


HERBERT H. HAMILTON SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established in honor of Herbert Hamilton, a professor in the Political Science Department.

Criteria:
• Awarded to a graduating senior with a major in Political Science.
• The student must be pursuing a law degree from a reputable law school and show proof of admittance to the law school.


AMERICAN GOVERNMENT CONCENTRATION SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria:
• Awarded to an outstanding student who is a Political Science major with a concentration in American Government.
• Must have Junior or Senior status
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both the major and overall.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS/COMPARATIVE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria:
• Awarded to an outstanding student who is a Political Science major with a concentration in Comparative/International Relations.
• Must have Junior or Senior status
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both the major and overall.


PUBLIC POLICY OR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION CONCENTRATION SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria:
• Awarded to an outstanding student who is a Political Science major with a concentration in Public Policy or Public Administration.
• Must have Junior or Senior status
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both the major and overall.



Applications are available in the Political Science Department Office, NQ 258. Applications are due by Friday, March 27, 2015.
