Communication + Culture in Guatemala Summer 2018

What: a five-week study abroad program, led by BSU instructor Ashley Coker (Communication Studies)
Where: all over Guatemala (Antigua, Lago Atitlan, Rio Dulce, Livingston, Flores/Tikal) PLUS a bonus stop in Belize!
When: June 18-July 21, 2018
How much: $3102 + tuition -- this includes airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, excursions, and some meals (also, this is officially the most affordable five week study abroad program BSU has to offer!)
Classes: the program offers two courses-- COMM210 (Fundamentals of Public Communication) and COMM290 (Intercultural Communication). You will have the option to register for either or both of these courses. Keep in mind that 210 is a UCC required course for all BSU students and 290 is a tier-1 social sciences option in the core. Both courses will meet daily (no class on weekend or excursion days).
Who: you?? open to all undergraduates (minimum GPA 2.0).

INFORMAL INFO SESSION: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5th AT 4PM IN LETTERMAN 356! I would love to meet with you and any friends who may be interested-- I can answer questions, tell stories, show pictures, whatever you like. If this date/time won't work for you, let me know and I'd be happy to schedule an individual meeting with you. Please drop me a note at acoker@bsu.edu to arrange a chat.

The enrollment period for the program has officially begin. To sign up, use this direct link: http://studyabroad.bsu.edu/?go=communications

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. You are invited to contact me anytime. This trip is going to be amazing, and I'm so genuinely thrilled to have the opportunity to offer it. I sincerely hope that it works out for you to participate!

Cheers,
Ashley
