The Edwin D. Shipley Alumni Center Library will be dedicated on Thursday, May 17. Come and celebrate with us from 4–6 p.m. at the Alumni Center.

Edwin D. “Ed” Shipley’s involvement with alumni programs began during his undergraduate studies,
when he served as student chairman of the Homecoming Steering Committee during his junior and senior years. He became executive director of alumni programs and president and CEO of the Ball State Alumni Association in 1980 and served in that position for 31 years.

The library opened in May 1998 and is the heart of the Alumni Center. Naming the library after Mr. Shipley further showcases his pride of being a Cardinal alumnus and employee. Ball State alumni and friends may use the space for meetings, gatherings, and conferences. The center hosts about 1,700 events each year.
