About Dean Weidner

Mr. Weidner has enjoyed a successful and varied business career, most recently as a private corporate executive building a portfolio of real estate investments. Today, Weidner Apartment Homes, wholly-owned by Dean Weidner, owns and manages 210 properties in seven U.S. states and four Canadian provinces. With a portfolio of over 36,000 apartment homes, Weidner Apartment Homes (based in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland WA) is ranked among the nation’s top owners/managers on the National Multi Housing Council “Top 50” list.

And while Weidner Apartment Homes continues to acquire and build new apartment communities, they do not sell them. This provides consistency and continuity for the long term for both the residents of the apartment communities and the associates of the company…a key value at Weidner Apartment Homes.

Central to the success of the company is Mr. Weidner’s belief in investing in continued training and education of his own associates, as well as grooming future leaders for the property management profession. As a major contributor to Ball State’s Residential Property Management (RPM) program and an active member of the RPM Advisory Board, Weidner Apartment Homes has employed over 25 Ball State RPM students and alumni in internships and permanent positions.
