You are invited to a L&D session, Onboarding Process Training, either on Wednesday, March 7 (morning) or Thursday, March 8 (afternoon). During this session you will learn about the new BSU Onboarding model.

If you are not familiar with the term, "onboarding" refers to the process of welcoming new employees to the University. University Human Resource Services has developed a model Onboarding process for departments to use. The initial model was developed based on the results of surveys of hiring managers and new employees. The model was fine-tuned after a series of focus group meetings with front line supervisors. A supervisor's guide to the onboarding process was developed to provide detailed suggestions on how to create a memorable experience for the new employee, from the job offer throughout the first year of working at Ball State.

We will review all phases of the new BSU Onboarding model and walk through the supervisor's guide. We will discuss suggestions and ideas on how departments can create a truly memorable onboarding experience for new BSU employees. This session is designed for administrative employees and supervisors who want to prepare to effectively welcome new employees to Ball State University.
